Nobody is "collecting" anything, you're the one who submits the information, anyway.

If nobody is collecting anything then what is the requirement for email in a forum that most people do not use anyway??

I think this email requirement is making this forum into a dead piece with very few active dedicated users.

This should be a forum for general public use, heck even Postman does not require email address [where there is significant risk of somebody uploading illegal shit]

Then why does this forum insists on registration via email??

I can understand the need of the creator of this forum - when there were very few torrent users on I2P.

But as we can see that clearnet torrent websites like TGx struggling for money & downtime,
RARBG dead,
Anime9 dead,
1337x suffering from constant domain issues,
VPN companies giving out details of their users,
FOSS being monitored and closed,
Private trackers with their insane & stupid rules & god complex banning users left, right and center - we are clearly heading towards a place where it will be difficult to torrent publicly.

So, I2P is a default and smart choice for torrenting especially with many mainstream youtubers and others article writers promoting it.

I again request the owner of this forum to either
1) Allow anonymous comments throughout this forum - OR
2) Allow registration of account without the need of email address.

As I understand, you worry about data collection.

In that case, you can obtain an email address from Postman (hq.postman.i2p; "Creating a mailbox" in the sidebar) for free, without submitting any data beyond your chosen address and the password you come up with.

The whole point of this annoyance is the insistence of asking for email address.

We do not want to submit any email address whether public or I2P.

We just want to comment anonymously or register on this eepsite without requirement of email address.

You could research whether the forum software supports registration without email. If this should not be possible with phpBB, then such claims are pointless.

Use a textboard/imageboard then instead of a forum, where you don't need to put any personal information. Here are a few good ones I've found.
